A new series I'm hoping to work on through the summer and fall. Horses, with their gear, working, being ridden - I'm not sure what the results will be. These are my first efforts.

This one was easy to start, and then I stood back and felt like I wanted to let it sit for a while. I like the way the guy on the R is not really there. It needs a lots more work, but I need to determine the direction.

This one also came together pretty quickly. All the straps, hardware I don't know the names of. Keeping the background vague and mostly lights and darks  - rather than detailed delineation.

This one I've struggled with, sanded off 3 times - had to redraw.  And it's been frustrating because I just haven't had the uninterrupted time to spend with it. But I'm enjoying the process, and I will at some point -

The following 2 paintings are from March- April.  First, the finches, "Early Morning Meeting" is for the annual gallery invitational show, Hip2BSquare.

I've wanted to work on a series from some of my Mexico trips over the years. I have several shots of men riding burros. Here are 3 process shots of the first. They loaded in the reverse order of final piece first.

New work.

After an eventful fall and winter, here are paintings I've worked on since my show last July.  I wanted the discipline of working on some still lives.  These were set up in my studio. The sheep is a small, 9" x 12" to include in the Dec. show at Sequoia gallery.
